Blue Origin Prepares To Send Six Humans To Space Today; Here’s How To Watch Live

Blue Origin is sending six people to space today. The company will launch its 28th spaceflight and third of 2024 as it looks to increase the frequency of the missions.

The New Shepard rocket will lift off at 9 pm IST from the company’s launch site in Texas. On November 21, Blue Origin said that the mission is ‘go’ for launch after final checks.

You can watch the launch live on Blue Origin’s official website or on X. The webcast will begin 30 minutes prior to lift off.

Among the crew members are six paying customers although the cost of the flight per person is never disclosed by Blue Origin. But reports suggest that the flight could be free for some while others may have to shell out $28 million.

The passengers of the NS-28 crew includes entrepreneurs Marc and Sharon Hagle, who will be flying for the second time on the New Shepard spacecraft after their 2022 flight. Also taking the seats are Austin Litteral from the financial services industry, entrepreneur JD Russel, aviator Hank Wolfond and MIT engineer Emily Calandrelli. Emily is also an Emmy-nominated TV host.

These passengers will cross the Karman Line, 100 km above surface, experience a few minutes of weightlessness and descend back to Earth. Blue Origin has launched 43 humans to space in nine human flights so far.
