Sudhir Mishra Calls Irrfan Khan The ‘Most Unselfish’ Actor, Says He Paid More Attention To Other Actors

Irrfan Khan is one of the few actors who blurred the lines between art and acting and worked in some of the most critically acclaimed, national and international films. Sudhir Mishra was the latest guest on Bombay Dreams with Mukesh Chhabra and spoke highly of the late actor and shared some interesting insights about Irrfan’s acting rituals.

Calling him one of the most unselfish actors, Sudhir, who worked with Irrfan on Yeh Saali Zindagi, said that the actor was not interested his own performance but would rather observe his co-actors more. He said, “Irrfan was never interested in his performance. He was absolutely certain that he would be able to nail it. He was more interested in observing his co-stars. He would watch Deepak Dobriyal perform. He knew that his performance would work only if the scene works. He obviously did his homework beforehand.”

Mishra further added, “I’ve never seen a more unselfish actor. Don’t get me wrong, he was very selfish in his personal life. He wanted it everything. He wanted the stardom, he wanted the international success; he wasn’t boring, he was a badmaash. But, when he was working, he was very graceful.”
