Model Dances In Towel At India Gate On International Men’s Day; Netizens Demand Prison Sentence For Her

A woman has sparked outrage online after posting a video of herself dancing in a towel at New Delhi’s India Gate. Sannati Mitra, who is reportedly a model from Kolkata, shared the video on International Men’s Day on November 19, with the caption – “Happy International Men’s day. May you all continue to inspire and motivate others with your courage, kindness and empathy.”

The video, as expected, garnered a lot of attention, clocking in more than 6.8 lakh views in under a day.

Many viewers were shocked and furious about what they deemed inappropriate conduct in public. Mitra, who claims to be the winner of 2017 Miss Kolkata pageant, was recreating Kajol’s dance in a towel from the movie Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaenge.

“WTF…she is crossing all her limits,” one viewer commented. Others demanded police action on the model and a prison sentence.

“Arrest her put in jail for 3 years,” a user wrote. “Where is the goddamn Delhi police now? She should be behind bars to promote vulgarity in such public places,” said another.

Apparently this is not the first time she has offended people online. The woman was recently under fire for her revealing clothes at a Durga Puja pandal. She was accompanied by Miss Kolkata 2016 winner Hemoshree Bhadra, who also got trolled for their stunt.

Sannati’s Instagram has several videos on the same lines which has millions of views.
